Over two decades of hobby photography and professional work, using all of the tools available to further hone my skills as a visual artist, my style has and continues to develop. (Pun intended)
Photography is more than just taking good pictures. It is the ability to capture and cherish memories. To grasp a piece of beauty, or to preserve a moment. To convey a message or document history. As I like to say, “when a moment grabs you, grab the moment.”
Though I was taking pictures long prior, it wasn’t until 2006, when I got my first “real” camera (Canon AE-1p SLR) that my love of photography started to bloom. It wasn’t long before I was taking photos for friends’ senior portraits, modeling portfolios, mission cards and engagements. The rest, as they say, is history.
Color or black & white, vintage gear, classic digital or modern, with a minimal post processing approach-allowing me to make more artistic decisions to organically achieve unique results, my own little part in today’s vast photography market.
